Turnover Is Not A Total HR Problem

The problem of excessive employee turnover at casinos is not entirely a human resources department problem but, rather, an issue that must be addressed by the entire property.  Employee turnover is no more a human resources problem than an overdone steak is the fault of the waiter who delivers it to the table.  When the topic of turnover comes up in executive meetings, everyone tends to look at the HR director as though the problem is his or hers to solve.  Turnover is a casinowide challenge.  Yes, HR is part of the situation, but every person in the casino, from the chief executive officer to the valet staff, has an impact on it.

To help casinos understand and deal with this issue, we have published a white paper on casino employee turnover.  Those interested in obtaining a copy of the white paper should e-mail Lydia at lbaird@casinocustomerservice.com or call her at 206-774-8856.
